The UEE Cable Repair Station is designed to be a complete mobile cable repair facility for on-site use by plugging directly into the pit power distribution system. This station can be skid or trailer- mounted for on-site mobility.

The enclosure is a UEE Modular Building that can be designed to fit any specifications. The interior work area provides a safe work area for cable repair personnel. It is divided into three main areas: power distribution, cable repair and parts storage. It is fully insulated with an option of heaters/air-conditioners so that it can provide continuous operation in any weather.

The station power supply can be specified as a cable ‘feed-through’ or it can be used as an end-of-line application, (with the use of a termination cap).

The internal electrical service provides power for heat, lights and repair equipment. The repair equipment is hydraulically driven and can have infinite speed control to allow for a thorough inspection of the cable as it passes through the UEE Cable Repair Station. The system is also fully reversible to minimize cable handling and to facilitate quick repairs.

Field handling of reels is accomplished by fitting a front end load or wheel dozer with a cable system adapter kit.
