These skid-mounted moveable substations
are designed specifically for underground hard rock mining
operations.
Substations feature a tranformer rated up to 1000KVA with
primary voltage of 8kV or 5kV and secondary voltage 480V
or 600V. |
Incoming load break switch provides
a transformer overcurrent protection and a shunt trip operation
of this switch protects the secondary side of the transformer
from a ground fault.
The secondary side features a fully modular, interchangeable
distribution and motor control center. Individual enclosures
consist of moulded case circuit breakers, vacuum contactors,
overload protection and ground fault / ground check to accommodate
mobile electrical equipment.
The modular design of the secondary distribution includes a
plug-in feature that enables the repair and maintenence of the
enclosure components to be done in the workshop rather than
on site.
The substation enclosure is designed for towing or lifting.
For safety purposes the enclosure is painted with highly visible
white, orange or yellow dry powder baked polyester paint. Colour
can vary according to customers’ request.
The modular design of the secondary distribution side by showing
the removal of the plug-in enclosure. The plug-in feature enables
the repair and maintenence of the enclosure components to be
done in the workshop rather than underground.
