Kumtor Gold Company, which is owned by Centerra Gold, is a gold mine located in the Kyrgyz Republic, about 350 kilometres southeast of the capital Bishkek. Working with SRK Consultants and the mine directly, UEE has provided electrical engineering services at pre-feasibility and operating level, such as load flow and protection studies and equipment specifications. Additionally UEE has designed and supplied fixed and moveable substations, pit dewatering substations, LV Unit Power Controllers (UPC) and trailing cable couplers.
