Portable & Modular Buildings
About ...
The "modular system" designed and developed by Unit Electrical Engineering Ltd. is a versatile construction technique for portable steel buildings.
These modular modules have potential for limitless configurations as well as the possibility for future expansions, thus are able to meet various project requirements.
Some module configurations may include: electrical distribution and control buildings such as Mobile / Portable Substations, Walk-in Switchhouses, Electrical & Process Control Rooms, Pump Control Stations, Field Repair Stations; various laboratory buildings such as Core Logging and Splitting, Sample Preparation, Fire Assaying, Wet Assaying, Metallurgical Laboratory, Environmental Analysis, and Oil Analysis; and other site buildings such as Offices, Lunchrooms and Washrooms.
The UEE "modular system" incorporates the use of tubular steel frame and steel wall & roof panels. Modular Buildings are designed as stand alone units or they can be skid or trailer-mounted for ease of mobility at a job site. The units are well insulated with either spray-on urethane foam insulation or fibreglass batt insulation.
UEE Buildings are designed to withstand various environments and climates. They are finished with a durable "powder-coat" paint and are designed to include interior climatization such as airconditioning, heating, and venting.
Custom-built to customer requirements, these units can be designed complete with electrical, plumbing, heating & venting systems. All components are installed prior to shipping, thus eliminating high on-site costs.
As seen in the various pictures, the modular system is very versatile and can be sized for many different applications. Most units are built with a typical 11'2" width for ease of transportation to site via tractor trailer. The modular system also allows for possible future expansion in certain applications. For example, the laboratory buildings (as seen on the middle front page) were the first buildings of three, intergrated phases.
