The UEE Sample Filter Press is designed to dewater slurry samples and process concentrates.
The hinged main barrel of the press swings away from the base for easy cleaning and ready access to the cake. A hand-wheel operated screw jack secures the filter cloth and paper between the barrel and base plate, and the top plate and barrel are sealed with a rubber o-ring connection.
Slurry enters the 12” round by 12” high pressure chamber via a 2” ball-valve below the top-mounted funnel, and air pressure is applied until liquid stops flowing from the drain pipe. The cake is removed by lowering the base plate and swinging the barrel out of the way.
An easy to clean drip tray retains liquid discharged from the pressure chamber and allows visual inspection of liquid while the press operates.
All metal parts that contact slurry are manufactured from stainless steel to minimize corrosion and sample contamination.
The Sample Filter Press includes a feed/bleed valve, air inlet valve, pressure gauge, funnel, and filter cloth.
